Collection: Ronson

Ronson is a legendary American name in the realm of lighters and accessories.

Founded as The Art Metal Works in 1897 by Louis Aronson and his partners in Newark, NJ, the company excelled in producing hood ornaments, lamps, ink wells and the like.

With the advent of safe flint material, in 1913 Aronson applied and got approval for a patent for a Liter (lighter). In 1926 he released a new "automatic operation lighter," which offered to both ignite and extinguish in a single push. It was a great success. Demand soon exceeding supply spurred Aronson to patent it and design other products around the invention, which were marketed under the Ronson brand name. Ronson's new lighters were an overnight success worldwide and soon the company offered a variety of lighters for all tastes.
